My research centres around the intersection of philosophical notions of prediction with real-world practice in the Greco-Roman and early Christian worlds. My DPhil thesis focussed on Origen of Alexandria and his approach to prophecy. My postdoctoral projects include work on early Christian notions of free will, the Eudoxan astronomical model, and event-based or katarchic astrology. I also run an annual lecture course on Ancient Greek science.
